DOUBLE VISION
AN EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHY
SAT 25th Sept. to SAT 2nd Oct. 2010
Well-known North Norfolk photographer Paul Damen is being joined by long time friend Rod Hill in a joint photography exhibition
DOUBLE VISION
at St.Margaret’s Church, Thorpe Market, Norfolk.
The exhibition brings together two diverse interpretations of landscape in its many guises.
Paul produces personal work largely based on landscape themes. His images investigate urban and rural landscapes, creating a personal response to the environment,
Rod takes a diverse view of our surroundings in the ‘Natural World’.
All of the works of art in this exhibition will be for sale along with a selection of greetings cards, which will include reproductions of historic images of the North Norfolk coastal area.
A percentage of monies raised will go to two charities -
MUNDESLEY VOLUNTEER INSHORE LIFEBOAT - a lifeline for those in trouble on the seas around this North Norfolk village,
and the EAST ANGLIAN AIR AMBULANCE - also a lifeline for many living in remote North Norfolk in times of emergency.
The picturesque venue for this exhibition, St.Margaret’s Church Thorpe Market, built in 1796 on the site of an earlier medieval church has recently had a complete restoration of its roof and interior décor. There are specialist facilities for exhibitions and performance arts, the church being well known as a venue for musical concerts. It is also of architectural interest, being of a symmetrical design with matching turreted entrance porches, and a pair of ornate Georgian screens inside. The conservation award-winning churchyard is also of interest for its rich diversity of wild flowers.
DATES OF THE EXHIBITION ARE SAT 25th Sept. to SAT 2nd Oct. 2010
