Circle Eleven are a group of top amateur photographers from around the country who communicate by post, sharing images, commenting and supporting each other in their artistic work. This exhibition will provide an opportunity for them to meet together and show their work to a wider public audience. This will be their first group exhibition.

There are seventeen members in the Circle Eleven group, some of who have been members for over 25yrs.

A variety of photographic styles using conventional and digital processes provide a wealth of creative images from members around England from North to South and including West Wales. A number of the members regularly have work exhibited in international exhibitions and have become well known for the quality of their photography around the world. Most Circle Eleven members also hold photographic distinctions awarded by bodies such as The Royal Photographic Society among others. Thirteen of the members will be exhibiting.

Circle Eleven is part of the umbrella organisation, U.P.P. (United Photographic Postfolios), a Photographic Club that circulates to members by post at regular monthly intervals. Its roots go back 75 years and it is Britain's largest postal photo club. It's current membership, of around 400, is spread across the length and breadth of the UK - and beyond. UPP is subdivided into a number of Postfolios, known as 'Circles', each of which have between 12 and 20 members. In effect, each UPP Circle is a small club in it's own right and can decide it's own method of operation within the broader rules of the parent organisation. Because the club reaches into members' homes they can enjoy each other's work at their leisure over a few days.

The Exhibition will be staged at

St.Margaret's Church, Thorpe Market in North Norfolk, from SUNDAY 30th JULY to SATURDAY 12th AUGUST 2006
